Indian Journal of Mental Health Research (IJMHR)
is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing high-quality mental health scholarship with clear relevance to clinical practice and public well-being in India and comparable settings. The journal publishes methodologically rigorous work across clinical psychology and allied disciplines, including psychotherapy and behavioral interventions, neuropsychological rehabilitation, behavioral medicine (e.g., weight-loss and lifestyle change), and culturally responsive models of care. IJMHR aims to bridge research and practice by prioritizing studies that translate into meaningful improvements in mental health outcomes and service delivery.

IJMHR welcomes a broad range of article types, including original research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, brief reports, methods and measurement papers, and clinically relevant epidemiological studies that inform prevention and intervention planning. The journal also encourages evidence synthesis and bibliometric research that strengthens the field’s knowledge base and guides future research agendas. All accepted articles are published under a CC BY-NC license, supporting editorial processing, copyediting, and online publication.
